ABBAS EL-AKKAD BRIDGE

Rowad was selected to deliver the Abbas El Akad Bridge in Nasr City, Cairo, for the Egyptian Armed Forces. The bridge spans 350 meters in length, 27 meters in width, and rises up to 9 meters in height, designed as a two-way road for vehicular traffic. The scope of works includes extensive earthworks such as excavation, soil replacement, and backfilling, in addition to major concrete works comprising piles, footings, columns, walls, frames, precast beams, box sections, and slabs. Complementary works cover insulation, bearings, expansion joints, finishing, as well as full electrical and plumbing installations, ensuring a durable and efficient structure that supports smoother traffic flow in one of Cairo’s busiest districts.
